Quick Thinking Neighbor Helped Facilitate Fast Rescue of Kidnapped 6 Year Old

God bless this man. He saw his little neighbor being snatched off her bike in broad daylight and thrown into a vehicle. He quickly jumped in his car and followed the kidnapper as far as he could, far enough to get the license plate number and alert the police immediately. God only knows what that pervert would have done to that little girl. I'm so thankful that the perp was arrested and this story has a happy ending. But it highlights just how quickly a child can be snatched. It also is a reminder that people shouldn't feel their "nice" neighborhoods are safe enough for small children to play outside alone, unwatched. Here's a short video clip of the story.

Man, that rips my heart up.

My now 11yr-old granddaughter lives at the end of a cul-de-sac that's accessible to a busy road; just a little miniature park between them. From about age 5, she used to ride her bike in the cul-de-sac unsupervised! I raised hell every time I happened to see it when I'd drop by. It was against her parents' rules, but she'd do it anyway even after they'd get on her about it. She's lucky nothing happened, but it could have. Very easily.

Angels at work. Great news.
Got that so right, Dawg

A few decades ago, we stopped at a park just outa Tillamook OR

We were on the way home from the coast
Thought we better let our boys stretch their legs a bit before we headed thru the mountains.
Nice park
Swings, merry-go-round, monkey bars

We watched 'em play from the car
I almost dozed off
Skootched down in the driver's seat
Eyes half mast

Saw this guy get outa his car and head t'ward the boys

I jumped out and ran the boy's way

He spun around, jumped into his car, and sped off

Green '67 Chey sedan (I remember it like yesterday)

Reported it, but never got his plate

Close call

Almost too close
