I am shocked and saddened to read that he has died. The reports only say he passed after a "brief illness. I couldn't get into Brooklyn Nine Nine, but enjoyed him in Homicide Life On The Streets. His acting prowess was rewarded with Emmy and Obie wins. He was nominated for Emmys 11 times. R.I.P. Mr. Braugher.

He won 2 Emmy awards:
1998 -lead actor on NBC police drama' Homicide: Life on the Streets
2006- lead actor in mini series/movie' Thief' on F/X

Me too, Andre was my favorite on Homicide Life On The Streets. My other Homicide Life On The Streets favorites were...well, I'll start a separate thread.
