MADDOCK, N.D. (AP) — A woman walked into a North Dakota bar carrying a raccoon, leading health officials to warn those who had contact with the animal about possible rabies exposure.

Bartender Cindy Smith said she was serving drinks at the Maddock Bar last week when a local resident brought in the animal during happy hour. There were about 10 people in the saloon at the time, she said.

That's totally ridiculous. They didn't test the raccoon, nor any raccoons, because there is NO TEST
and never has been a valid test for a rabies virus. It's the same old same old scam repeated over and over.

Well, I gotta say something about this.
After some friends found out I feed Raccoons & some of them put their front paws on me & take food out of my hand, they warned me about Rabies, so I did some research. Unless the experts are wrong,
1. An animal that has Rabies will not act normally, & is unable to eat or drink. And no animal with Rabies will allow anyone to pick it up; it would attack.
2. An animal cannot transmit Rabies unless they are showing signs of Rabies.

The woman likely raised the Raccoon from a baby & it's her pet; otherwise it would not allow her to carry it around. I'm not saying Raccoons make good pets; they don't.

I think people hear, "Rabid Raccoon," "Rabid Skunk," & think all Raccoons & Skunks are.....Rabid.
Much like some people think all snakes are venomous.

Yeah the poor thing is already dead and tested negative for rabies. Woman should never have taken it into the bar. WTH did she think would happen.
