After much debate the wife and I decided it was as good as any time to go back North to Missouri. We stocked the car with all the safety supplies, masks, disposable gloves, hand sanitizer, sterilizing wipes and spray.

Most of the highways were much more active than I anticipated, I'd guess 60-70% of normal volume.

Spoke with hotel managers/clerks at each stop and they said they were running at around 30% of normal bookings.

The major restaurants that we visited had well run curbside pickup systems in place.

Fuel wasn't a problem.

Great! - Does this mean that we can see more photos of your lovely waterfall area?

Hotels & motels the number one places to contact bugs, infections, traces of human residue, unwashed glasses and surfaces, sheets & pillows. "Thank you for staying with us."

So, where do you stay when you travel my friend?

Perhaps you should quit going to those no-tell motels. :devilish:

Your concern is touching, however, I generally have my entourage check out the places I stay several weeks in advance, again the day before my arrival, and then again hours before I enter the facility. (Sadly, some of us have more to worry about than bugs and infections.)

(Really? No, it's just a bedtime story) ;)

I'm so sorry to hear that! Were these all fish that wintered-over or a new stock?
I had the fish for several years. Lot's of suspects in the area (herons, owls, minks, raccoons, fishermen, and crotchety old men).

I lost 13 Koi four years ago and replaced them with seven feeder goldfish, which turned into 20 over the four years and grew to 6-8 inches.

The population needed to be thinned, it was either the Heron or put them up in a bug infest motel.
