A 62 year old man and his 26 year old son have both been arrested by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Toronto and charged with a number of terrorism related charges. Both are being held without bail. The RCMP anti terrorist unit arrested the two men at a hotel in York Region. They were found to have dangerous weapons with them, when arrested. the two men are Ahmed Fauad Mostafa Eldidi, age 62, and his son, Mostafa Eldidi, age 26. Both are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, facilitating a terrorist activity, assisting a terrorist activity, and possession of dangerous weapons, an axe and a machete.

If convicted of these charges, the men could get life sentences of at least 25 years in prison.
