if book or longer item i like paper cause too many scroll things have garbage attached and easy to click on something i do not want.
Also paper come in handy outside as some screens and my glasses that darken in sun do not mix

Because of vision issues, I use a device so I can change the font.

I also love being able to look up a word. It’s so easy compared to the old way of rolling out of bed to pick up the dictionary.

When I go to an appointment, my phone has a strong data plan so I read my phone. I’m also thankful that DH can read the news on his phone when he’s waiting for me in the car.

I used to read on my kindle but tired of it, so now it is full of games. My ipad always has a lot of books loaded. I fluctuate once I've finished a book on the ipad I take up a paperback. What annoys me, I can be halfway through a book and realise that I've read it before, I still finish it.

I read non-fiction. I want a book I can hold in my hands, go back to other pages and re-read them, make notations. if I want.
I like to study paintings in my art books. I love the smell and illustrations in the very, very old, antique books.
I usually have three books open at the same time.

Always, always, always - paper books 📖📓📘📗📕📙📒
Do not like reading from a Kindle.
Which reminds me .. I need to donate it. No point in it sitting in a cupboard unused.
I donated my old Kindle a few months ago and it might have nothing whatsoever to do with the old Kindle but not too long after, an erroneous charge for a Kindle book showed up on my Amazon account (to read my original thread about it: https://www.seniorforums.com/threads/warning-disposing-of-old-devices.64642/#post-1873611). I did the "factory reset" on the old Kindle which is supposed to remove all my info. and maybe it did but it still seems odd the err. charge happened shortly after.

Anyway, I don't think I'll ever donate or sell any devices ever again unless maybe it's to a family member.
