After using an electric razor for years I have gone back to the old way and found it refreshing and a lot cheaper. The replacing of heads or buying a new electric was more expensive and never that close. I purchased a pack of stick razors at the dollar store and was amazed at how good they shave. Using Barbasol cream, also purchased at the dollar store made for a clean shave. Finally, an aftershave lotion, also from the dollar store, found women cozying up to me at the market just to get a better whiff...

That is too bad. I was using a Norelco and still use it for the trim feature on my sideburns...

I have been using an old fashion safety razor for probably ten years now, long before that Pawn Stars guy started selling them. I get a much better shave than with any thing else that I have tried. Most men despise the act of shaving and just want to get it done and over with. If you do it right and spend the time preparing it can be quite gratifying and pleasurable, even sensual.

If you store your stick razor head-side-down in a small container with about 1/4" of mineral oil in it, the blades will give you a nice smooth shave for about 4 times longer. My husband did that. His cheap razors lasted 4 to 6 weeks, and he'd only change the oil (baby oil) whenever he changed to a new razor. And this was a guy who'd have a 5 o'clock shadow by about noon.
