I've never had a flu shot and never had the flu. My doctor isn't too concerned. It also helps to avoid people who have the flu, which is hard if you're caring for someone who has it.
Oh yes, on flights ... my word, I cringe when I see people just sneeze right out into the air without attempting to cover it. My son is an epidemiologist, so one of these days I'll get onboard with getting the shot.
OMG I see people coughing and sneezing all over the place, and one coughed right in my face when getting in the overhead compartment. Yes, I had a cold two days later. I've started using this nasal spray that is supposed to help prevent catching a cold because it keeps the nose moist, and on planes your nose dries out and cracks making it easier to get the virus in your system.
I tend to catch things when we fly and we have long flights end of Nov. So I figure a flu jab is a wee bit of insurance.
