Yup!

When we went camping we used to buy an inexpensive brand of Danish bacon and small hams in cans that had a key.

Also, Katheryn Beich candy came in tins that had a key.

Us kids used to fight over who would open the can of Spam, but never cut ourselves.

Who remembers those sealed packages of butter with the food colouring
that you had to squeeze until it turned yellow?

i remember that white butter---i also remember the key to open a can but i use to put a pot holder arround the key to keep from slicing the finger

I remember an organization selling candy door to door as a fundraiser.

It came in a can with a key and included a plastic lid that transformed the can into an elegant candy dish!:playful:

I almost lost my arm to a can of corned beef. I was about 8 or 9 and it got infected. Doctor told mama to take me to hospital where they could take it off. She didn't so he called police and we hid out in a motel where she soaked my hand in table salt for a few days off and on. You see the infection being pulled out of my hand and the red streaks from blood poison up my arm slowly disappear. I screamed in pain from hot water and infection. But it worked still have the arm.

Cripes-I always said they were dangerous!

I remember those, especially on sardine cans & never got hurt, but I'm probably going to lose a finger to those terrible hard pull top rings one of these days.

Two permanent scars. One on my third finger from pulling up on a can of something I dont recall. The second is on my chin. As an infant I had one of those cans and I fell down the stairs. The protective rim came off and I landed chin first on the sharp edge with so much force the can was lodged in my chin and my folks said I was bleeding directly in to the can. They rushed me to the hospital to get the can removed from my chin. I was too young to recall the last one but the car is still visible.
