Remember the Jackalope?

I was reading one of those cultural histories of the US. One thing that tickled my funny bone was the wacky oversized animal postcards from back in the day. Quite a challenge to make before cut and paste.

I remember that! Yes, it must have taken talent to do that before Photoshop.

I remember them. I always wanted to watch the conception of one. Curious as I am.

It's amazing how many on the east coast thought it was real. We westerners knew better and laughed.

I bought one once. It took a month to bake it @ 400º in the oven.

Those postcards are still around. Just go to any tourist trap in Sedona or Old Town Scottsdale and you will find them
