I have seen current photos of them making horses manes, forelocks, and tails unidentifiable. There are photos on Shutterstock that the manes and forelocks are so full, the only hope of ridding them of the burdocks is to shave the manes and forelocks off.

I remember how they hurt your fingers when you tried to take them off. Moistening the fingers with saliva helped some. We called them "field lice".

I have them all over my dry non existent lawn in the summertime. I've been told how to fix it...but haven't done it.
