When we were at the supermarket we ran into Roscar's dad. He was almost crying. Roscar was fourteen so fairly old by dog standards. He had Cushing's Disease. I've heard of it and apparently it's very expensive to treat. Also given his age the treatment might only have given him a bit more time. But I feel so sorry for his Dad.
I'll give him some time to mourn and then maybe photocopy some profiles from PetFinder. Maybe the idea that you can't replace Roscar but you're giving someone a home and someone new for you to love. He's an older single guy, athletic but lonely...not so lucky with the ladies...I think a new pup would help him heal faster.
See you at the Rainbow Bridge baby...
