Restaurant Takes Day Off After Customers Make Staff Cry

It’s not news that people sometimes aren’t at their best at a restaurant. But telling a server you hope they get hit by a car is a special level of unkind. That sort of behavior—things that made the staff cry—is why a Massachusetts restaurant shut down for most of a day to give everyone a break from customers, Mass Live reports. Brandi Felt Castellano, who owns Apt Cape Cod with her spouse, Regina Felt Castellano, said the restaurant would close for most of the day so they could deep clean, and so the employees could enjoy a “day of kindness," the New York Times reports.

Nastiness seems to be the new normal. There isn‘t any sign of it decreasing and there’s no vaccine to prevent it either. Seems like there may be a pandemic of frustration and rage.

Take away more freedom by forcing people to do things they don't believe in and watch things really heat up. This may well be just the beginning.

If your staff is constantly getting bad revues, and insults, it sounds more like poor training than mere customer cantankerousness. I read that some owners said the staff were "kids"., and this was their first job. That's almost an admission the service sucks. It think the staff is showing its inexperience , because the owners didn't properly train. them

4.5 - 4.6 ⭐️‘s out of 5 seem like pretty good reviews to me. That’s what I found online. Where did you see these bad reviews about the staff? It doesn’t look like a burger and fries type of restaurant either or one that I’d expect any kids to be servers but having never been there, I don’t know for sure. Judging solely on the pictures and ratings that I saw though, I’d take a chance on going there. It looked and sounds like a pleasant enough place. And if the servers truly were kids, shouldn’t the patrons stop eating there rather than offer up bad revues (sic) and insults? Adults that insult kids sound maybe a bit cantankerous to me. And just so you know, I don’t hope you or anyone else gets hit by a car, kid or adult.
