Rheumatoid Arthritis

I have just been DX'D with a second Auto Immune disease and see a Rheumatologist for the first time next month.

The RA was diagnosed by my PC who is referring me to the Rheumatologist. I welcome comments from all who have been there and done that.

I hope they give you a good treatment plan that will work well for you Lon.

Yes, my wife has had it for the last 38 years. I could write a book on it, and space is limited. She now has infusions every month (at $12,000 a hit), and is on so much medication that I have lost count. I'm just glad we have a fairly good medical plan. It won't kill ya, but it can test your fighting spirit. My wife is fortunately a person who is a fighter, and won't give in to it. She's still in fairly good health and some of her fingers and toes are "bent". Yet she will not let it slow her down, and does all the things she wants to. (like going to symphony, singing in church choir, yard work, music clubs, seminars, etc.). I wish you the best. If there is any way I can offer advice or make suggestions, let me know. (I may have to ask her, though)
