Robbie Robertson dies at 80

I'm sorry I missed this post, as I was out yesterday. I was listening to a great interview on the radio, while
waiting for my optometrist appointment.

Loved the Band, and Robbie. He was a Canadian treasure.

Canada has gifted the world with so many legendary musicians (Joni Mitchell/Alanis Morissette/Neil Young/Drake.............and my favorite Capt. Kirk aka William Shatner, who also puts out music.

Yes it is. Did not know he was Canadian, just a great musician!
There were a lot of people in show business that were Canadian, that I just assumed were American. Which probably means that people in other countries can't tell the difference between an American and a Canadian. And neither can I.

It can be hard. I usually rely on accent to identify where someone is from, and while some Canadian's have accents distinctively different from ours many don't. Also I think a lot of celebrities and even business people try to put on a middle American accent, makes it hard to identify even some Brits or Australians. In recent times I have even met native born Chinese who have taken American accent classes and sound like they could be from Nebraska.
