Robo Calls

Yes. I thank heaven for Nomorobo though, my phone rings once, if the calling number is on Nomorobo's list, they pick it up and deal with it, if not, then my phone continues to ring, at which point the caller must speak with my answering machine before they can get to me lol. If it's someone I wish to speak to, I pick it up, if not, they can leave a message, or not. Don...

I signed up for Nomorobo, but I amd still getting seemingky unceasing calls. Anyone else get a huge amount of spam calls?

I have Nomorobo which helps but I still get some. And having the phone ring once when Nomorobo catches it is still annoying. I would like to see our government dedicate all the resources of the NSA, CIA, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, all branches of the military and whatever other top secret spy programs we have going to locate and target exactly where these calls are originating from and then send in the cruise missiles to obliterate them.

Since I updated my telephone settings to only ring when the number calling is in my contact list the problem has decreased substantially. I still get a few calls where they leave a message that I need to check before deleting.

"Cold Calling" is illegal here, they cannot call trying
to sell or to get you to admit to having an accident
that they can help you with.

Calls from inside the UK has died down, I still get them
and I point out that they are breaking the law, they are
usually solicitors who should know.

Foreign numbers I don't answer.

Mike.

I have that option also, but I'm concerned that I'll forget to allow someone or a business I contact from time to time, like doctors or plumbers.

I use call block on my landline as well. It does have the option to go back in and unblock a caller if you did it by mistake. I have my doctors office and a few impt places in my contact list, so they come up with the ID.

A fun thing I have been doing is to keep track of some of the phone numbers of some of the spam calls. Then if I am filling in a form where I have to give a phone number, but I do not want to use my own, I give one of the spammer numbers. Let them call each other

I guess I don't see the problem.

The person always has the option to leave a message and you still have the option of adding them after that initial call.

Deb don't sweat the small stuff life is just too short to be worrying every minute of every day about so many little things that rarely happen and have small consequences when they do but now that you mention it I better add the Publisher's Clearing House prize patrol number to my contact list!;)

They have really slowed down since we switched to Consumer Cellular..
