My wife introduced me to Bon Jovi and two of their hits that she really, really likes......You Give Love A Bad Name and Livin' On A Prayer.

Only hit I know by Dire Straits is, Sultans of Swing.

Hits by The Cars that I know........Just What I Needed, My Best Friends Girl, Good Times Roll, Shake It Up and perhaps a couple more.

As far as The Moody Blues, started listening to them in 1969, while in the Navy. Heard Nights In White Satin at a nightclub in San Diego. Other hits I know.......Tuesday Afternoon, I'm Just A Singer and Ride My See-Saw

Congratulations to these Classic Rock bands for making it into the Hall Of Fame!

I haven't paid too much attention to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in years but I am glad to see that Dire Straits have not been forgotten. If you want a good introduction to the band listen to their Making Movies album.

Dire Straits arguably may be better known for Money for Nothing and Walk of Life. I love a well-played dobro/resonator so the album cover of Brothers in Arms got my attention.

ETA: This was in response to ClassicRockr's remarks about Dire Straits, not MarkinPhx.

I like Dire Straits, Cars and Moody Blues.....Moody Blues definitely deserve the recognition, great band!

I have always been a Fan of the Moody Blues..my B-i-l was one of their Roadies...

I loved Dire straits when I was younger ''sultans of swing'' is a classic... I have the Brothers in Arms Album still, from way back in the day

Mark Knopfler, is a brilliant songwriter, and musician.... here he is with a song he wrote for the Everly brothers in '86 .. accompanied by the superb guitarist Chet Atkins

I know this is not Classic Rock, but it just shows the talent of mark
