ROMANCING THE WIND....Amazing and Beautiful!

The man flying the 3 kites is in his 80s, and he's from Canada. He comes to the Washington State International Kite Festival every year. His skin is like leather as he normally flies with his shirt off. He is deaf, so when he flies we hold our hands up and wave them for applause. He flies 2 with his hands and the 3rd one is attached to his waist. Enjoy!
You must watch to the end to see the amazing landing of that last kite! I would have those kites so tangled up, you could never get them separated again! And of course, make sure the volume is turned up because the music is wonderful and totally reflects the soaring of the kites. Beautiful!

I'm sure this footage is taken in Vancouver, False Creek area....

That is just amazing, it does not even resemble any kind of kite flying that I have ever seen before in my life ! It must have taken a long time, and a lot of effort to learn how to fly even one kite like this, let alone to coordinate flying all three of them.
it is al,ost like watching birds flying, or even some undersea creature, but yet all synchronized .

Lovely..... I remember we used to make kites from some sticks, newpapers, string and my Mom's old pantyhose! Nothing compared to this man's talent.

I tried it a little bit when I was a kid, and really enjoyed flying the kite, but we had a lot of power lines near the empty lot across the street where the kids all flew their kites, so my mom didn't let me do it much.

When my kids were young, we lived out of town, and had a large pasture for the horses, so that was a great place to fly the kites, and even though there was a power line, it was far enough away that we could fly the kites safely.
We looked forward to the windy days every spring , so we could all go out and fly our kite. We usually just had one kite, and helped the kids get it airborne, and then they took turns flying it.
