Ron got these for his birthday

A excellent quality set of kitchen knives (Zwilling,) steak knives (Henckels,) and a magnetic holder for them.

I hadn’t realized how much easier a good kitchen knife can make food prep. I’ve always just made do with whatever was available.

But man!!! These glide through whatever we’re cutting like butter!! We cook every day, most everything we eat is from scratch, so there’s a lot of dicing, cutting and chopping. And though we don’t eat red meat often, occasionally we’ll treat ourselves to a delicious ribeye, and those steak knives work like magic!

These are definitely the right tools for the job! Even though they were given to Ron, they’re a gift to me too!!

My nephew is a professional chef. For households that don't want to spend a lot of money on knives, he recommends Mercer brand so that's what I buy. With any good knife, the trick is to keep them sharp and keep your fingers out of the way.

They look very nice but a bit scary. I would assume people who cook a lot need good knives. Me, mine come from Walmart and Ross.

We've always used Henckels/Zwilling knives as well, and keep them in a knife block.
