My roses are all blooming now, and i really enjoy seeing them in the spring. Once summer gets too hot, they barely bloom, but right now, they are all happy.
Last year, I tried grafting some rose cuttings onto my wild roses base in the front yard. I didn’t think that it worked, but this year, I just discovered that on the side of the wild rose there are pretty red roses blooming …….. I am so excited and happy ! !
I was going to remove the wild rose because it just has tiny white blossoms early in the spring and then wants to ramble all over the yard, so I have to keep it pruned back.
Now that I have the grafted rose on there, I will try grafting more of different colors and see if they will grow also. Here is a picture of the bush with the remnants of the wild roses blooms and the red rose growing out on the left side, as well as a picture of the wild roses in bloom , and a closeup of one of the new red roses.
