a £5 silver coin ?I have bought a coin, waiting for it to be delivered.
well it could be said about Bread and circuses I agree.. however, I do believe strongly that this will be the last of it;s kind.. I don't think that there will ever be a King or Queen in this country who will either serve long enough to enjoy jubilee celbrations or... that the people will no longer enjoy the Monarchy in the same way as they while the Queen is the Monarch.. and these types of Jollies will be slimmed down if not completely abolished..No and no. I taped the show for hubby, he wanted to see the flyers. Told him to call me when they go on the balcony and I did see that.
So much money that went to this while people do not know where their next meal is coming from. This could have been done for less, much less, and still been a celebration.
And I wonder too about all those crowds....I predict another outbreak of covid.
For as long as I can remember, I have sympathy for the republican cause. Will you buy something to commemorate the Queen’s Royal Jubilee?
No, but that's not any sort of protest, I just find watching TV tedious. Will you watch special events?
I live in the UK. I won't be attending anything to do with royal celebrations. Will you even travel to the UK and attend something?
yes apparently she is in pain today .. it's a long day for anyone age 96 much less someone who has to smile and acknowledge the western world...and speak with dignitaries all day long..while in painI did watch some of the trooping part, and some of the balcony scene. The Queen looked very well.
I hear she will not attend the church service tomorrow. I bet she's in pain. The Archbishop of Canterbury came down with covid and will not be officiating.
Wow that was spectacular.Watch at the end for a perfect formation of 70 to mark the jubilee year.
I always get a bit emotional watching them because they're such masters of their craft. Often when they are on the way to a display or returning from one , they'll pass over my house, it's a spectacular sight..A year before covid, we were in the UK, wish we had been there for the Jubilee. Watched a lot of aerial displays in my time and yesterday's did not disappoint. If you are intererested and missed it, here is a great video. The Red Arrows magnificent as usual.
Watch at the end for a perfect formation of 70 to mark the jubilee year.
I'm envious!I always get a bit emotional watching them because they're such masters of their craft. Often when they are on the way to a display or retruning from one , they'll pass over my house, it's a spectacular sight..
