Russian Sends Troops To Korean Border As Tensions Escalate

How does all of those events affect you, personally? Or, is it more of an intellectual experience?
I really don't understand your question, it appears to be based on the principle that unless something affects a person directly they should not bother about it? Surely I'm mistaken.

WW2 in reality was WW1 pt2. It was the disgusting terms of the Treaty of Versailles in which Germany was lied to and treated abominably following the agreement formed the basis of the armistice that made the outbreak of hostilities in 1939 inevitable.

"Versailles" created a situation whereby the emergence of a political party in Germany that would seek redress could not be avoided.

The ONLY issues the US has with NK are verbiage. It is the US that is warmongering - again.

In any case irrespective if the UN Security Council is the global policeman or not by what right does the US have to adopt that role. Answer? NONE.

In a sense some of this is true. Breaking Germany economically was a bad idea in retrospect. The worst was not allowing Japan any serious position in determining the outcome of events.

What would or could Japan have done with the Entente powers so hell bent on breaking the "Central Powers" (and stealing their colonies and markets)?

The only really effective role that Japan had in the Great War was against German naval powers in the Far East and they were not to given the opportunity to share the goals (thefts) of war that the Entente powers wanted for themselves.

Business interests, today we call them the Neocons in order not to directly offend certain groups, were totally dedicated to grabbing everything they could.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose eh?

A lot was learned from the way WWI was ended and WWII ended a lot differently... the Marshall Plan for instance was implemented by the west and the USA, and then there was the USSR's way. There is a time for taking an isolationistic and/or nationalistic attitude and there is a time to take more of a world view. It takes wise people to know when which approach is appropriate. History has shown us that fanatics or idiots aren't really capable of even understanding all the issues, much less making wise decisions. Many times it is a matter of what is the worse that could happen and could you live with that; meaning there are not always good ways of handling things and you just have to make the best of the situation.

I agree with you on your point that fanatics don't seem to be capable of understanding all the issues or making wise decisions. They can't see everything with tunnel vision.
