Ryan Seacrest to take the place of Pat Sajak as host of Wheel of Fortune. What do you think?

There's nothing worse than having to replace long term game show hosts.

I was really surprised to read that they want to put Ryan Seacrest as host on the long term staple, Wheel of Fortune.

I haven't seen any articles as to who replaces. Vanna White.

I also think that they need to change the format of the game to prevent comparisons with the old host.

How about "Dartboard of Fortune"?

He’s successfully hosted American Idol for years, co hosted with Kelly Ripa on another show, doing a great job with both. He will be a perfect pick for The Wheel of Fortune. He’s a true professional who knows what he’s doing plus he has a good sense of humour with an uplifting personality.

I agree. He's been good in most of his roles. But I think Wheel isn't a good fit for him. He would have to have a personality bypass in order to fit into that boring job.

To be brutally honest, this is beneath him. Ryan needs to interact with his audience. He thrives off the correspondence and I agree that I think he’ll find this far too slow paced and somewhat boring. He’s a really lively guy with a lot of energy. I think there’s a better match than Ryan. I initially wanted to support his decision but as soon as I read your post, I had to agree. Ryan is over qualified here. They should find someone else.
