Sometimes in the wee hours when I'm in a deep sleep, I can smell my mom's cooking. Pot roast, mashed potatoes & gravy, homemade rolls, donuts made from scratch, apple pie....mmmm. 
Then suddenly I wake up, ravenous. Realize it's a dream and go back to sleep.
