Once again, was listening to NPR on the radio in bed at night and thought this show was interesting. My brain is definitely overactive at night since my husband passed, and listening to the radio helps keep me from thinking too much about other things. There's a podcast in the link for anyone interested, it's the second podcast from the top on that webpage.

A scientific guide to a better brain

The brain operates all of our thoughts, feelings and movements — and it also helps us adjust to a rapidly changing environment. Thanks, Seabreeze. I am also interested in taming the brain. Recently I have been reading up on Positivism in Psychology which is today's power of positive thinking with new techniques. It is nice to know we are not alone and that science is working on these problems.
