I have a close friend who is a City Commissioner for Miami Beach. They are raising the sidewalks along Ocean Drive to fight the rising tides. She has also submitted a bill that would financially assist beachside homeowners in reinforcing their seawalls.

In California, they are moving US1 back by 400 feet in Sonoma County due to rising tides. Yes, it's an issue.
