No problem Ken! This is all voluntary of course. Congratulations to you and your wife on 60 years!

Close to 60 yrs. and the only real wisdom to be offered is for the husband to learn to say "yes dear" at the right time even in his sleep.

That's cute. I was going in a door the other day and held it open for a man coming in and said "hi, how are you" because I've seen him before and he said "fine, dear." I wonder if he was married. I thought that was cute of him.

My wife and I have been together 65 years - -our 62nd wedding anniversary comes up next month. It's been a wonderful ride - -a long smooth road with only a few minor bumps. If we could start over, I doubt if we'd make many changes.

Really long marriages seem like epic events but truthfully, it's as much good luck as anything. To hit even the 60 mark, you have to marry early AND both be lucky enough to survive (healthwise) until relatively old age. There may be many loving couples who have shared a wonderful life but if they didn't get started early and one, or both of them had a shorter lifespan, then they miss out on the magic number of 60, 65, 70, or what ever number is being discussed.
