I don't if this has happened to any of you,but I've had 2 memorable experiences seeing a TV/movie star in person.

One of my favorite TV shows in the 80's was NBC's detective show 'Remington Steele' '82-'87 starring Stephanie Zimbalist and Pierce Brosnan. I knew Stephanie's 1st love is the theatre where she still performs to this today. After the show ended, she went on national tour with Tommy Tune in "My One and Only'. The tour came to Buffalo couple months later,my seat was 3 rows from center stage. I knew Stephanie could act, sing but she truly amazed me with her dancing. She was a perfect partner with Tommy. This happened 30 yrs ago, still wonderful memories.

The 2nd experience happened in summer of '68,our family went on a 3 week vacation out West. A couple days,we were staying at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. I was in the elevator when the late, character actor,Paul Ford got on. One of his famous movie roles was playing,'Mayor Shinn' in "The Music Man'. I was then a shy teenager so 'star struck' because I recognized him, wanted to say something but couldn't .When I got back to the hotel room,I was so excited. I told my parents, brother&sister what had just happened, they had no clue who I was talking about LOL! It took me days to come down from 'cloud nine, the highlight for me of our trip. Sue

My encounters were not very exciting.

I met Grace Jones several times, she lived in my city at one time and frequented the local hot spots with her family when she came home for a visit.

I ran into Mitch Miller one day on my lunch hour, he was looking sort of disheveled in an old beat up leather trench coat.

I ran into Lou Albano in an airport. It was when he was running around with Cyndi Lauper.

I was in a plane with the Flying Karamazov Brothers.

I'm not really impressed with meeting famous people or with attending live performances, I suppose famous people feel the same way about meeting me.

For a time, I sold insurance for AAA. Our office was in Santa Monica on Wilshire Blvd.

Frequently, stars would come into the office on business. Matt Dillon, Shirley Temple's father, to name a couple.

One day I had to drive out to Malibu to get a signature from Shirley McClaine. She answered the door in a dirty

house coat , bare feet and 7 months pregnant. Not an OUNCE of glamour. It takes tons of make up !

I worked in TV and film for 20 years, my O/H has worked in TV and film since he left school ...there's too many names to mention that we've met, worked with or indeed have as personal friends...

I ran into Hulk Hogan once at Disney World. Literally ran into him and ended up on my butt. It was my fault (I had turned around to talk to someone behind me and took a couple of steps backwards and when I turned around, WHAM!) but man, it was like running into a brick wall. One of his entourage picked me up and brushed me down and apologized.

I also ran into (there's a pattern here of me not looking where I'm going) to Godfrey Cambridge, but neither of us were knocked down. He did shake my hand, though.

I was kissed by John Davidson but I don't think very many people remember who he was. He was a real heartthrob at the time, had the cutest smile and dimples.

jujube, I remember John Davidson and yes he had huge dimples - you could swim in them! "All-American" clean cut good looks. He was on Hollywood Squares a lot, and many other TV shows.

I just checked, John is still around....75 yrs old.
