Selfie generation now trampling Dutch Tulip farms. They have been asked to stop

How ignorant and selfish can one be? They will quite litterally do anything to get a picture of themselves. Crush flowers, fall of cliffs, and for what? Nobody cares anyway.

Sounds like the same thing that was happening last month in the California wild flowers. People can be so stupid and thoughtless.

I had this guy in Amsterdam, whose tulip farm I visited, send me a batch of bulbs, one year. Total rip: They never grew into anything nice, and I know my gardening techniques are excellent. I feel bad for the tulips, though. :hatlaugh1:

I can say I never took a selfie, either too 'old school', not self involved enough or just don't like to take pictures. :hair: I was never on a tulip farm, but I have been in areas where the terrain is delicate and protected, where there are signs asking that you stay on the dirt trails and don't crush the native plants and flowers. I respect those rules and understand why they are there, someone has to take charge and care about all aspects of the environment, down to the smallest ground plants.
