Senator Bob Menendez indicted on corruption charges.

Conspiracy theories from both sides of the aisle. Democrats say the Republicans wanted him out at all costs. Republicans say Obama miffed at Bob for some positions he's taken. It could be business as usual for a New Jersey politician. Or there could be nothing to this at all.
 

You think that's bad? Our whole senate is being audited because five or six were found to have padded their expense accounts (tax payer dollars we're talking here) to hundreds of thousands of dollars each! One is going to trial for fraud this month I think, another will likably be and so on. And I believe that these remaining senators are rumbling mightily because questionable expense billings are showing up! So like that other thread (the inspiration thread you know) like that one had a post showing an Eisenhower quote where he talked about stealing from the taxpayer, and here you are, example after example both North and South.

But what are you going to do? In the end we only have what's there to vote for. And I know, I know, "you can get out there and get involved, get elected, etc. But you know what? Not everyone is thus inclined.
 

He claims there was nothing to "get away with" Do you not believe in innocent until proven guilty in a court of law?
