Seniors are not all old doddering, drooling, brain dead idiots.

I've been noticing some P.S.A.s ( Public Service Ads.) for seniors. There are lots of 'em for scams, etc. But I began to notice this condescending attitude, like they have to gently get us to come in out of the rain. The only people, who ever were scammed were all deaf, childlike, old geezers. Yeah, aging is genetic, but not every senior is an old doddering, drooling, brain dead idiot. Then there's the "I've fallen, and I can't get up" ads.
What irritated me about those PSAs was the age related biases and prejudices.

Not drooling or brain dead yet, although parts of this body do slow me down a little.

I just put away some tools and painting supplies. The Wall which has been a Project for the last few weeks is now finished! I did leave the ladder out so I can touch up a window frame. Tomorrow. Now for a shower, with a scrub brush to get this paint and caulk off my hands.

The 'fallen and I can't get up' commercial I've recently seen is the irritating husband who keeps telling his worried wife to stop worrying about her mother, she's fine...... AAAAAAA, shut up! Of course it turns out she had fallen & couldn't get up. (She sure was nicely dressed. I'd probably be a dressed mess.)

Just had a great visit with my 17 yr. old granddaughter, and her steady boyfriend yesterday afternoon.

Great conversation with them, and no old granny 'dodering talk’ moments about anything.. I love listening to them talk about life.
He’s the defensive end on the high school football team. ….. and this Granny loves talking football.
It was fun!

Sure, and maybe the Internet Providers intend to take everything you have
away from your decedents and charge them for stuff because you gave it to
their cloud Storage which they own and Apps.

Elders fall out of the loupe of Cost / Pricing / payments quickly.

I've read that we seniors are the last group to suffer open prejudice and ill will.
I'm an old doddering, drooling, brain dead idiot but it's nobody's business but my own, and I happen to be enjoying it.
I saw today that the thought now is Fast foods / prepped & packed, bring on all senior illnesses.
What? Now they want us to just starve and get off the shelfs.

The only drooling here is when I'm asleep. I'm 67, hubs is 60, and we try to keep up with current events. I frequently have chats with my 30-something stylist about music, TV, politics and everything else under the sun. I have an acquaintance at the gym who is 72. He "fist bumps" me every time I see him and tells me he just spent 2 hours working out.
