Forgive me if such a thread exists already. But there were some acts more popular across the water than in America. Lonnie Donegan, Gene Vincent, the bands favored by the rockers and mods...The Who were one of the better known groups of that era, T Rex and Gary Glitter. The Sensational Alex Harvey Band hailed from Glasgow. Alex's brother Les was noted along with Maggie Bell in Stone the Crows. For us late boomers there was new wave and Stiffs Live Stiffs, Nick Lowe, Wreckless Eric, and one of my favorites
