I haven't played backgammon in years, but I have two sets. My late husband and I played it a lot.

I'd heard the term "acey-deucey," but I didn't know it was a game.

Backgammon was popular for a while, but I haven't seen anyone playing it for years. I never tried it, because I don't enjoy chess or similar games.

Played acey deuecy in the Navy. We once had an unofficial squadron tournament where anyone that wanted to compete would put in $5.00. I'm not sure now how many participated I only remember winning the money. That was before getting married. I'm pretty sure my buddies & me had a great time in San Juan.

The way the dice were thrown in this case dropped was thru a plastic box tower. It had three shelves that the dice had to trickle back & forth & down on. There was no way for anyone to manipulate the dice. Getting good combination of numbers was pure luck.
