Share with us the dream you had last night.

"A Gathering of My Dead"

Scene One: I'm on a street in the Richmond neighborhood of SF with Susan (+others?). In a nearby storefront Barbara, looking like Christine Baranski, is telling some other woman how she needs a haircut but it's so expensive--she names some outlandish price which shocks both me and Susan.

Scene 2: We're in Richard and Barbara's apartment which looks nothing like their IRL apartment: it's incredibly cluttered with all kinds of tchchkes. Marco is lying on the floor. Susan is sitting across the room from me. I have some sense that I am hiding from Susan that Richard used to have a career in the military.

Scene 3: I'm sitting next to Barbara aka Christine Baranski when Susan comes over to show us an elaborate fringe-y brown hanging she took off the wall.

I dreamt that I was an actor on the show, Star Trek: Discovery. On the second day, I came unprepared, having not memorized my lines. There was a fabric doll in my prep packet, and I pulled the strings to seat her neck properly, which then somehow turned into a skirt for her.

I asked how bad it was that I hadn't learned my lines and the, I'm assuming, Director told me that it was pretty bad.

Also, we actors had to do the crew's DIY projects when not filming.

Last night, or early this morning, I dreamt I was part of some sort of organization, maybe a spy? And I had a second, sort of get-away place in this weird, elaborately laid-out, hideaway. But I think it was the "enemy's" hideaway before it was mine. Anyway, all my stuff was there, and I didn't want it moved.

I think I need to stop watching compilations of, "Hoarders," on Youtube.

"Safari Dogs"

I'm in a hair salon getting a haircut. It's very posh and crowded. Unfamiliar to me. The guy cutting my hair keeps cutting out big tangles and snarls and showing them to me. I suddenly realize that I didn't tell him to layer my hair, and never asked the cost of the cut. It turns out to be cheap, $5, and I pay him with a $6 dollar bill (!) I find in my purse.

Around us are all these dogs with fur like safari animals. Otherwise they look like regular dogs, but their fur is, respectively, of a leopard, a giraffe and a tiger. They're very sweet and friendly to me. I compliment the haircutter on them and he tells me they were created by Trump. My kids and their friend Pinky show up, they've all had haircuts too. My haircutter hates teenagers and is openly hostile to them, so I apologize and we leave.

Now I'm outside looking for my kids and my car. I'm on Fifth Avenue in NYC, but it looks like Market St. in SF. My phone is ringing but by the time I get it out I see it was my daughter Stacy calling, and she hangs up.

Final scene, I'm driving the car with the kids in the back, trying to make a u-turn on a narrow street crowded with lots of parked cars. I softly hit one car and back up relieved there wasn't any damage done. Finally I succed in making the turn and we drive onto the freeway. I suddenly realize we are on the part that goes directly to the Bay Bridge, and I can't get off before we'll be forced to cross it.

I rarely remember my dreams. I might remember that I dreamed about a specific person but that’s about it.
Recently I had an x- rated dream. It was very weird. I’d love to have it analyzed. I can’t imagine why I dreamed it.
Would love to tell it but I’m afraid it might really offend some.

Meh, I told everyone I had a steamy dream about a blue alien from Star Trek. I think you'll be alright if you don't go into too much detail. :)

Fascinating dream last night. I could fire silver threads upward, and then was able to climb them. I could climb almost all the way to the ISS. I taught a couple other people how to do it, and we'd climb up and look down on the Earth below us.

Not good sleep last night so no dreaming I can remember. I usually remember all my dreams. Very detailed and in color. 3 dreams I had when a preteen: Chased down a sidewalk by a gorilla, ducked under a house to a concrete ledge. Could go no further because the whole basement was filled with a lake of feces. I was trapped. I woke up then. In another dream I was chased by a skeleton that caught me by my ankle as I tried to get away. I woke then.

I often dreamed of being chased by the creature Frankenstein. The last dream I had of him was of him chasing my sister and I throughout what looked like a warehouse. We got trapped by a huge work table. To save us, I turned to him(it) and talked to him in a friendly manner, and he left us alone.
I'm pretty sure of what brought on those dreams. Most bad dreams like those stopped after my stepfather was gone.

I understand. Lots of my X-rated dreams I would never share here. Years ago I was in a dream group and one woman was offended when I shared a sexual dream. I told her. Hey, I am not in charge of my subconscious!

I dreamed that a friend took my hair to the stylist and got it cut way too short, it was just to the nape of my neck. I was horrified and hated it, was trying to play with it to make it work.

Then I was dating Patrick Stewart (not Captain Picard, just Patrick Stewart), still with my short hair, and felt like we were too intense. Also, I felt like he probably felt the same way. So, I told him we needed to ease up.

I usually have several vivid dreams every night, the occasional nightmare too. I remember them clearly in the morning, but as the day goes by they fade away. Maybe for the best?

Has anyone woken up from a good dream and then went back to sleep to continue it?

I have, on occasion, continued a dream after waking up .. usually, they were "good" dreams.
Also, I have had the odd recurring dream.

For some reason I was the token White Guy whom the Indigenous Inhabitants of Australia decided to extract their revenge upon.
I done did my level best to elude capture but eventually overwhelming numbers saw Bretrick taken and tied to a tree.
Well, I like to think I have the gift of the gab and I was doing so well, persuading my captors that I was in fact quite innocent of the charges against me.
That is until that "One in Every Crowd" came onto the scene.
He told his fellow tribesmen to not be fooled by my eloquent words.
He was determined to take his revenge.
Raising his spear...taking aim...I awaken with a start

It's a vicious cycle. I frequently have a similar dream.

Last night I dreamt I was attending a business conference and couldn't find my room at the hotel. I was given another room but there were already other business associates in it. And I had no airline arrangements back home and had no electronic device so no way to contact the airline. Sometimes I dream I have a flight scheduled and either have no way of accessing it or miss it altogether.

Too many years of traveling and attending conferences. You'd think after 5 years of retirement it would be a distant memory.

This is an old dream I had years ago I will never forget.
I was in the kitchen sweeping and when I moved the trash can a snake came out headed straight for me.
I pushed it with the broom, it sat up posed to strike. I managed to get it held down enough to grab a knife off the counter.
I woke up right then but the dream really bothered me so bad I went to the library (no internet back then) and looked for books about interpreting dreams.
"Dreaming of snake/snakes means a confrontation with an enemy or a feared situation" was basically what I read in every book.
Three days later before my husband got home from work his best friend shows up, says he needs to wait and talk to him. So I let him in.
He calmly tells me "You do realize I really hate you, I mean really hate you! You took my drinking buddy away from me, my pal, my best friend"
The meaning of the dream hit me and I was able to calmly say "Well, I think it's his choice not ours how he lives his life. So you tell him this and let him make the choice. If he chooses to remain your run-around friend, then I better know now before we get too far into this marriage"
Our marriage lasted 16 years until his death at 47 yrs old from cancer. His best friend began dating my Mom (who was a very good drinking buddy).
