Me too! They were such classics that Rathbone became everyone's idea of Holmes. Ditto with Nigel Bruce's Dr. Watson.
A bunch of guys have played Holmes, but the only one who really got my interest besides Rathbone was the splendid portrayal by Benedict Cumberbatch in the series Sherlock (2010-2017, four seasons). Cumberbatch portrayed Holmes as the genius he was, but with increased eccentricities and few social graces. Martin Freeman's Watson was much more intelligent, but still very drawn to Holmes.
