Shopping surveys

Have you been asked by a sales assistant to take an online survey telling about your experience in their store ? Every participant is entered in a lottery with a ‘chance’ of winning a couple of hundred pounds

I was asked yesterday, after a ten minute wait to be served by one of two assistants, both working like they were in a trance, I replied “No thanks, my experience was the same as always in this shop, extremely slow”,

Have you ever completed a survey or ever heard of anybody winning the money ?

I shop at a Kroeger owned store (Fry's) and every now and then the receipt prints out an offer for me to take an online survey. I do it for the fuel points (50 per survey). I know the stores employees bonus is based on the survey results so I try to be a positive as possible when doing the survey. However, I will not hesitate to give negative feedback if I did have a bad experience. The Fry's I go to is a great store though so never have had to do that.

Thats great MarkinPhx, at least you get something for taking the time to complete the survey

I've been asked to do an online survey but by the time I finish shopping, I have forgotten all about it.

I was at Big Lots Mon morning, when I got home took the survey.I mentioned one of the female employees was very helpful, went out of her way to show me the item I was looking for had been moved.
If I've had a good experience at a store,I try to do the survey, though I've never won anything Sue

I have, and will continue to do so when the experience is good. People should be recognized for good service.

If service was sub-par, I won't take the survey. Anyone could have an off day, a bad day or feel ill. I let it go.

Luckily, a few times someone went far and above to help me. That gets a laudatory letter to the corporate office..

PS- I never won anything and don't care about it.

.

I do the Kroger grocery loyalty card rewards survey which appears most of the time on the receipt.
Do two surveys per month and get a 10 cent discount per gallon of gas at Kroger gas stations.

I do them if I remember. Especially if I have had a good experience. Not sure if positive feedback ever gets back to the store. So if I have had an extremely good...or very bad experience I try to go to store management,

I go to the home improvement stores....Lowe's, Menard's, etc., and the receipt always has a web site listed on the back of the receipt for a survey. I usually take a couple of minutes a day or so later, and fill it out. A couple of years ago, I got a Lowe's gift card for $100, after a $20 purchase....more than paid for the time it took to do the survey.

I usually do the surveys from Kroger and Walmart, which offer money if you win the drawing; but I have never won anything.
When I have good service from an employee, I try to remember their name so that I can mention this, and if I grumble, it is not about an employee, but about something from a store decision.
As an example, Kroger used to have a scan-rite guarantee, and if they over charged you , then you got the item for free.
Since you have to stand (sometimes forever) in the customer service line to get the refund, this seems entirely fair to me, and it was a reminder for them to change the prices they had on the over-priced item, or to remove the sales tags.
Now, they only refund your money, but you still have to stand in line the same amount of time to get the money back.
I grumble about that one every time I shop there and have to stand in line for my right price refund.

I do the Kroger surveys for the fuel points and one time I won a $50.00 Kroger gift card. I am very honest about the shopping trip and give the names of any employees who go out of their way. The last Kroger mgr and I were friends and he said the surveys do matter and their stores are advised of the results and empiyees are recognized for their effort. I was surprised the other day when Rhonda met me at the door with my electric cart and said she saw me coming out the window. Kroger in Texas eliminated the senior discount and I do mention it on every survey I take. It won't do any good but I want them to know I have not forgotten !!!

I do the same thing here in Dallas. I always do the feedback survey to recognize good employees, get fuel points and complain about the senior discount being dumped.

Kroger said they were eliminating the senior discount to reduce prices for everyone. THEY LIED! Soon afterwards Kroger began giving special deep discounts to the chosen who had internet access to Kroger's digital coupons. Kroger threw granny under the bus in favor of the tech savvy.

I've done a couple of them, just because the service was good, don't buy my gas at Kroger or have ever won anything for it. In the past if I'm really impressed with customer service, I'll take note of the cashier or worker's name and just call the store and ask to speak to the manager. Then I tell them in my own words about my good experience with their employee. A few times I'll just compliment the employee right there in person, nobody gets a prize but they always seem to appreciate the recognition and compliments on their work or service.

The digital coupons are really good ones!! A long time ago I got the Kroger credit card and started putting my large purchases on it. (Auto and House insurance on it as I pay it off at the end of month anyway. They give points and I regularly get checks to be spent at Krogers. this month I have a $30.00 check coming to spend there. They come every few months and I always have at least a $10.00 one

Kroger LIED !!

They said they were going to give discounts to everyone... but they moved the discount from one demographic group to another.

As for Kroger's credit card... I got one years ago, but soon found out it was a poor substitute to other credit cards that give better rewards that can be spent anywhere.

I am satisfied so that's all that matters to me. We all have different experiences and yours is just different than mine!
