Shops already stocking Xmas items.!!!

Sorry ... Christmas stuff in stores should be up near or better yet, after Thanksgiving, not that it will ever happen. I like having the separation of the holidays so they can all be enjoyed. 🍂🦇 - 🦃🥧 - 🎅🎄

I understand craft stores having Christmas items most of the year as it takes time to make things for gifts or to sell. I don't have a problem with people starting their shopping early if they can. I've usually done by Thanksgiving except for a few things. I really dislike being in stores during the season as it seems to make people more stupid than usual .

I'll be getting my holiday baking supplies in next month. My pecans for bourbon balls will start soaking at the beginning November.

There you go! Stocking shelves in September for Christmas. So early and so sad since we haven't even got to Halloween nor Thanksgiving. Do I hear cash registers ringing? Yes, I do!

And here I am planning my winter get away so I can completely miss Christmas and all the mad music and advertising. I wonder if I can get away soon enough before Christmas madness takes over the country? Maybe I will and maybe I wouldn't but I am sure going to give it a good try. Aloha!

The economy is struggling to adjust to a retreat from conspicuous consumption. Warehouses are still full of cheap crap crying out to be sold, so retailers are desperate to get the jump on competition.

Way back in the way back, the earliest Christmas stuff was so much as referred to was the day after Thanksgiving. I liked it that way. Now it seems that Thanksgiving is a forgotten holiday in the retail world except for about a week before when the grocery stores push it.

Just the other day I saw a commercial for Hallmark Christmas movies every Thursday.

'Tis the selling frenzy has begun and by December 25, the fun is gone; we're in "let's get it over with" mode.
