Shortage of health care Providers????

I had a routine dental visit scheduled for next week, and the dentist called this morning and cancelled it, until further notice. When I asked why, he said his office has been chosen to serve Medicaid people, due to a closure of a Medicaid facility a few miles away. It seems that these government "stimulus" packages have few provisions for taking care of the needy.

I did a little checking on the Internet, and came across this article. It appears that our "For Profit" medical system is laying off a substantial number of doctors and nurses, in areas that haven't been impacted by this virus. It seems that providers in these areas are losing business, as a lot of people are staying away from doctors and hospitals unless it is an emergency. I wonder why there hasn't been any effort to relocate some of these people to assist in areas that have been hardest hit.
