Should I Wear My Late Father-in-Law's Wedding Band?

I lost mine and my wife wants me to wear her late father's band. It's a great looking gold ring. My FIL was the one in-law who always really liked me...and I really liked him as well. He passed away last November along with my mother-in-law...4 days apart.

I dunno...do any of you find this awkward? Or maybe it's touching...or both? Or perhaps I should just go out and buy a new ring?

The reason I was questioning? My buddy told me it was bad luck to wear a deceased person's ring. I know...I'm not into voodoo or superstitions, but his comment did get me second-guessing myself.

if your wife suggested it and you lost yours, then yes. It’s not bad luck, it’s an honour, especially if there were good relations between you two. Throw superstition to the wind.
