Shrewsbury

Where did Shrewsbury biscuits originate?

SHREWSBURY biscuits are named after the small town in Shropshire and were first documented in the 1500s as a cake. It was a lot different from the modern-day Shrewsbury biscuit, being delicate and fragile in texture – sadly they are not commercially made today.
