Have any of you ever tried one of the background check sights (yourself or someone you know) and then paid the money to get the whole
report? I haven't but I was curious about what you really get or if it's just another money grab.
WELL, yes, I found info on a child, but sorta wished I hadn't....
takes some careful searching and much caution.. OTOH I helpd
a 65 yo guy re-unite with a looonngg lost daughter, so that was good..
Most of the time those search sites have very old and non updated info. Since I do genelogy, I have looked for intfo on some of these. I always found old stuff so one day I searched myself. They had me living in places I have never been and with a list of relatives I never knew! And all that was before I was asked to pay for deeper stuff. Never paid to get wrong info.
Those sites often tell you it will only cost you a $1 to look someone up then without your knowledge they sign you up for a $40 a month plan. My advice don't do it.
I used it once to find the son of a deceased former homeowner who was getting financial mail at our house. On the other hand, I looked up my name on another site. It said I was in real estate, I was 7 years younger, and I was single.
