singer/songwriter Mac Davis died yesterday during heart surgery he was 78
Two of his songs Elvis Presley recorded were big hits'In The Ghetto","Memories'
He also wrote'Watching Scotty Grow' which Bobby Goldsboro recorded
One of my favorite Davis songs was 'Baby Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me'
He is survived by 3 children

I'm so sad to hear of his passing.

Mac and my late husband and I were born the same year.
My late husband looked so much like him it was shocking. He was often stopped and asked if he was Mac.
Such good looking men they were with those smiles.
Mac lived 17 yrs longer than my husband, and I can see him in Mac's older pictures if my Ron had only lived as long. Sigh
