Skills

The presence of mind to be aware of what/who is around you. People stepping into the street without looking, blocking the aisle in a store, not avoiding thugs on the street.

Being aware of things around you (or nearby). Are you blocking a store aisle, blocking an escalator exit, not going when the light turns green,

SHUTTING UP in a movie theater, watching your language when out in public being polite to folks.................I could go on....and on.

Is beer guzzling a skill? Probably not. So I'll go with intuition instead. Intuition is worth its weight in gold. An instinctive, seemingly psychic ability, to read human expressions, emotions, thoughts, words, character, intentions etc... can be a vital invaluable skill, tool, or weapon.

Now should you lack intuition... remember you can always fall back on your beer guzzling talents. People tend to leave drunks alone. We're dangerously sloppy and rude. And we tend to babble on and on forever about ourselves, and all sorts of other uninteresting things. Embarrassing to be around. In that respect, excessive ale consumption acts as a protective shield, or personal "beer buffer" if you prefer. Not nearly as sophisticated as intuition, but it can be an equally effective survival skill or defense mechanism.

I'll give you an example. "Sundown, do you know what I'm thinking about you right now"?

"BUUUURRRP"

"Ugh. God you're disgusting. I'm outta here!"

See how well that works? :p
