Smoothie and Juices Recipes

Thanks I need more ideas.

We bought a Ninja Blender a while back.. Holy Hanna, I think you could crush rocks with one of these babies.

We mostly blend up frozen fruit with low-fat vanilla yogurt and make what we call "poor man's ice cream" man is it ever good though.

I would LOVE to have a Ninja blender, OH ! Years ago, I had a Vitamix, and had to sell it somewhere along the line, and have missed that machine ever since. Now, I have an old Oster blender that came from the Thrift Store, and I make my smoothies with that, but I can tell the poor old thing is barely limping along, and is well past due for a replacement. But a Ninja is not going to fit into the budget anytime soon, so I will just keep on with the Oster for as long as it keeps going.
My daughter gave me a Ninja cooking pot. It looks like a small roaster, and can bake, roast, steam, and also functions as a crock pot, so you can make about anything in it. It is pretty handy, and I think I will be able to even roast a small turkey for Thanksgiving with it.

Wow; those smoothies do look good!! I have a juicer, and used to do a lot of juicing, but not in awhile. A friend of ours was doing a lot of it, and he ended up with diabetes....don't think it was just from that, but apparently the carbs were the wrong thing to do in his case. We've a lot of diabetes in my family, and tho I don't have it, I am more careful about what I eat now.

This is to update my earlier post on this thread, which was way back in the Dark Ages.
I did get a Ninja blender, and I do not like it anywhere near as well as I thought that I would. it does come with the large pitcher, which has the odd-looking tall blade in it, and then a smaller personal size cup that has the regular blade in it. That tall blade might chop up ice just fine; but I didn't like how it made my smoothies, and when I tried making green smoothies in it, I had chunks of spinach left.
The smaller one actually did better; but still left bits of stuff that was not blended.
Then, my daughter gave me another Vitamix, and I am SO in love with that blender !
I use it for smoothies, and making fresh lemonade, and also for making almond or coconut milk. Every thing is totally blended when the Vitamix gets done with it ! !
I do use the smaller Ninja cup when I only need to blend a cupful of something, and there is no problem worrying that there will be chunks left in it, or to grind my morning coffee sometimes.
Everything else goes in the Vitamix.

I actually prefer the green juices that are made with veggies. My favorite one has spinach, kale, green apple, lemon and a little ginger in it.

Im sure i forgot something but you get the idea.

That is close to how I make mine sometimes, too, CeeCee. I use a whole lemon, and cut the peeling off, leaving the white bioflavonoid on there as much as I can, and then quarter in and drop it in the Vitamix. Next is a chunk of ginger, and then the greens and some water. I think that the addition of an apple would give it an even better flavor, and I will try that next time. I have some ginger lemonade that I made and all I need to do is add the apple and spinach, and it will be good to drink.

The Apple adds a bit of sweetness, can't remember if I used a whole apple or not, guess it depended on how much I made.

I do have the recipe somewhere.

Even the 13 yr old grandson likes it and he's a picky eater especially when it comes to veggies.
