Snow and low profile roof vents

Attached is a picture of the kind of "low profile" roof vents I had installed 3 years ago. Since then, there has been no snow accumulation here, but they are now saying possibly 3-5" this week. Does anyone know if these kind of vents will be a problem with snow coming into the house through the opening? The picture clearly shows openings at the side and front, but I believe it has a center that is round and solid, even though I can't remember for sure what that part looks like.

Shouldn't be.

We have both those and long ridge vents at the peak. We also routinely get tons of snow.

Normally they are "screened" to keep out insects, which will probably hold back most of the snow.

Thank you. I formerly had turbines which squealed in the wind, is why I went to this kind. Being in Texas, it's rare to get 3-5" of snow, so this will be the time to find out.

With just one snowfall of 3-5", no. Now if you had a foot or two of heavy wet snow followed by extreme cold, then it could get completely be shut off and result in ice and water build up under which could then make its way in the opening or the roof if an ice dam forms. This happened to us two years ago. So now I check it if there is a big snowfall.

Most likely the heat from your vent will melt any snow around it. But keep an eye on it and if possible, clear out the snow around if needed.

If Snow covers your vents say by a foot, rake the snow off the roof.
You won't end up with Ice problems either that way. If you hear water
dripping down inside your walls ya need to clear that roof for sure.
Most modern roofs have the 3' roll of Stick em on the roof to stop that
Along the Eves under the shingles.

We won't get a foot of snow here this week, if ever, so sounds like it's okay. Thanks for your answers.
