The weather here in Nashville had been unusually cold all week long due to the winter storms ravaging much of the country. We've had several inches of snow in the past week which is unusual in and of itself...Nashville often passes entire winters without a bit of the white stuff!
Anyway, I decided to amuse myself by making snow cream....ice cream made from fresh, clean snow for those of you who aren't familiar with the stuff. My recipe is just snow, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. It's shocking how delicious it turns out!
My daughter came up with a brilliant idea...the addition of flavored coffee creamers! She makes a big batch of the basic snow cream, and then splits it up to flavor it different ways. I tried it this morning with the batch I made. I made Peppermint Mocha, Hazelnut, and Italian Sweet cream. They're all delicious! Ron and I can't decide which is our favorite flavor!
