So hot in Perth yesterday

I have had a Geranium in a pot outside my front door for several years.
I watered it on Friday and when I came outside this morning 95% of the leaves were shrivelled.
It is in full sun from midday until sunset.
Yesterday's temperature was 109.
I watered it again to see if the remaining life is viable. I will move it into the shade to give it a chance.

Not abnormal. Perth often gets above 40 degrees.
Christmas Day was the hottest Christmas Day since 1968.
109 degrees.
Current temperature at 2.24pm 109.

And now here in the interior of BC it is -14F and a good 2 feet of snow outside.

Yap! We all have our problems. Outside my window the temperature is -18 C. It's dangerous to walk outside because there is a sheet of ice after they cleared the snow away. Yes, I live in the middle of Canada. It's not perfect but hey, no tornadoes, no floods and no earthquakes so I'm not complaining. I sleep well!
