Sean wouldn't be the first actor who tried to escape typecasting. I have seen him in a couple of other films and was able to disassociate his Bond character. I'm sure Daniel Craig is a fine actor. He's just not one I'm interested in seeing in films.Sean Connery deeply feared being typecast as James Bond and felt creatively stifled by the role, leading him to quit the franchise multiple times. He grew to despise the overwhelming association with the character and sought to prove his versatility as an actor, ultimately succeeding with diverse roles in later films.
Daniel Craig is a seriously talented actor. See him in Knives Out (2019): A critically acclaimed whodunit where Craig plays detective Benoit Blanc.
Another fine Craig performance can be seen in: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011): A tense thriller showcasing his dramatic acting.
For what it's worth, Connery's role as Professor Henry Jones, Sr. really portraid his talent for acting.
Craig seemed like an odd choice to me too, but then you dress anyone up in a tux, and they start to look a little more dashing.Sean wouldn't be the first actor who tried to escape typecasting. Shame on me!
And I had steeled myself against April Foolers.
Well done, Trade!
