So something sparked a memory today...

Backstory. Dave always wanted to go to Bali. And in about 1995, we made that dream come true. We flew thru Hong Kong. And then again the next year. We went five times. We flew using his American miles, and always business class. I thought, the first time, how hard can it be sitting down and being plied with food and liquor for ten hours? Turns out it wasn't exactly grueling, but it was....um...wearing. So maybe the second or third time we flew I became aware that the HK Cathay Pacific business lounge offered the ability to shower and refresh oneself from the trip. So on our second, maybe third, trip to Bali, during our layover, I used the shower room. OMG! There was an attendant, who offered me fluffy white towels. The shower room was gray granite, sparkling clean. Hair dryer, lotions, soaps, all the stuff. And then the shower. The shower head was huge, and set in a ten foot ceiling. I turned on the water. It was like taking a shower in a rainstorm. Seriously, an amazing experience. Refreshing! Showers, for whatever reason, have always had a good effect on me -- after an illness, after doing yardwork, if I'm upset, whatever, but a shower always makes me feel better. If I win the lottery, I am totally reproducing that shower room in my mansion. LOL!

You can also turn on a shower and scream your brains out, very therapeutic, I’ve heard. I would never, of course, do this myself. 🤔😂

I cannot tell how often I dream of being able to design and build a home to my liking!

It would be no mansion, but it would be lovingly planned, right down to every last detail, with a walk-in shower and bath... no glass doors, no shower curtains, and the wall facing the gardens would be wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling glass. Like this!

This is exactly what I did the first time I was left alone in the house after my husband died. Everyone was convinced I shouldn't be left alone; their intentions were loving but I just wanted some time alone.

As soon as I got the last person out (and it took days), I turned the shower on full bore, sat down on the floor of the shower and screamed and howled until both the hot water AND I ran out of steam.

Very therapeutic it was.

You wouldn’t feel somewhat exposed?

Considering the transition from our current, it would take a little getting used to, but knowing the property was gated and private, I could see myself getting used to it in a real hurry. :)

What about yourself, Keesha?

Lol! I can do that at the back of our house since it’s all forest but not at the front. Seriously I’d love to live that far away from people that I could feel comfortable walking around naked. One of my favourite leisurely shows to watch on tv is
about people who decide to design their own house and hire people to do it . Some of the houses are spectacular. They are always out in the country far from everybody . Some of the architecture is ‘out of this world’ beautiful and most often the windows are huge . Last week I saw the most beautiful house being built. Crazy nice with bathrooms similar to the picture you showed. I’d love to have that type freedom; to step into a bubble bath and not have to worry about being seen and having breathtaking views all around me. Of course I’d have scented 🕯 candles and music 🎶 for added pleasure.

We can dream. 🥰

You've captured my dream exquisitely, Keesha!

OMG! What a dream! Now, if this room was on the second floor overlooking a forested lot, wow!

Thanks for posting!
I thought it ‘was’ on the second floor. Lol
The idea of the trees I’d find comforting. You’d prefer to be looking down onto the trees which would also be lovely or overlooking the ocean. At times you’d see the glimmering moon sinking into the horizon. ‘Sigh’ 🌙

ROFLMAO!

Beautifully said! I'm with you on all.
