This is what we're practicing these days. Our social group consists of my son, his wife, their baby son (my grandson), myself, my wife, my wife's mother and one of my wife's friends. Although we and our son live in two different houses about two miles apart we act as if we're all living in the same house. My wife is doing most of the shopping for the two households, I occasionally go out fully masked to pick up food to go from one of two restaurants and my son and his wife regularly have food delivered from one of the restaurant delivery services.
My wife's mother and my wife's friend have come over in our back yard and we've sat 10 or feet apart unmasked. We have a separate bathroom in our back yard so any visitor doesn't have to enter our house when they're over.
We trust everyone in the group to report any sort of a situation they're concerned could have potentially exposed them to someone outside the group. We also all wear masks while we're out and use cleansing products after being out to reduce the risk of infection.
None of us will be going to restaurants to eat when they open up or out to shopping malls or shopping centers except to pick up things needed within the group.
I personally think this would be a reasonable way to ease some of the restrictions as long as everyone is trustworthy and vigilant. I'm wondering what the rest of you think.
